On Community, personal communication at scale is driven by how easy and efficient it is to have meaningful conversations with your audience. You're able to get back to Members based on the sentiment of their text, bulk respond to message clusters, and even surface all the questions that were asked. Now we've made it even easier to send responses based on people's actions or inactions with our new and improved Message Follow-ups!
What's your goal?
After you send a message out to your audience and their replies start trickling in, you'll be able to send follow-up texts To All, People who didn't respond, People who responded, People who clicked a link, and People who didn't click a link.
Depending on your goal for each outbound campaign, you can decide whether it's more important to follow up with your audience based on Responses or Clicks.
Responses
Checking in with your Members, asking for feedback, or soliciting requests? If that's the case, it would be so valuable to thank those who responded and nudge the rest who didn't respond in order to get the full picture. Feel free to get a little cheeky when following up with People who didn't respond to let them know how important their feedback is to you. 🙂 It's common for your audience to not realize that you're listening on the other end and their engagement with your texts matter!
Clicks
Asking fans to pre-save your new single? Sharing a seasonal sale on your website? Dropping a new YouTube video? In each of these cases you would have a big incentive to make sure as many people click on your link and take action when they receive your text. Express your gratitude to the People who clicked a link and ask them to spread the word to their friends and family! Check in with the People who didn't click a link with a different value proposition, greater urgency, or a follow-up question to make sure they don't miss out.
Where can I view my Message Follow-ups?
To keep things organized, your responses and message follow-ups are stacked with your original outbound campaign. To view them in greater detail, click + Show my follow-ups underneath the associated campaign. From there you will be able to click into each follow-up campaign or see a snapshot overview of how they performed.
