What is a credit bundle?
A credit bundle is a bucket of prepaid credits which accounts can purchase and use for any messages they send on the platform.
What message channels are included?
- SMS
- MMS
How will it be deducted?
Messages will be deducted each calendar day. If multiple message types are being sent on a given calendar day, they’ll be deducted in the following order: WhatApp → MMS → SMS.
What fees can be deducted from the credit bundle and what cannot?
SMS, MMS and WhatsApp usage can be deducted from the credit bundles. Also, MMS and SMS message routing fees can be deducted from the credit bundle. Platform Fees and WhatsApp passthrough costs (sometimes referred to as Provider Fees) cannot be deducted and will be billed separately.
What are WhatsApp Passthrough Costs?
WhatsApp Passthrough Costs are fees directly charged by our partners (i.e. Meta) to Community, for sending messages via the WhatsApp API. Community does NOT add a markup to these fees. You can learn more about WhatsApp’s pricing structure here.
Can I limit the credit bundle to specific message channels?
No, the credit bundle will be used towards any messages that are sent. We cannot limit the use of the credit bundle to specific message channels only (i.e. only MMS). For instance, if an account has access to both MMS and SMS, and they buy a credit bundle, both MMS and SMS will be deducted from it.
Why should I purchase credit bundles?
Credit bundles will offer discounted rates for each message channel. Please contact Sales to learn more about the best rates for your needs.
Can I purchase more credits when my credits are running low or expire?
Yes, you are always welcome to purchase additional credits. When an account has multiple active credit bundles, the one that was purchased first will be depleted before the next bundle kicks in.
What happens if a bundle is expired or exhausted?
If an account used the last $ of their bundle on a given day, we'll revert to the list price on the next calendar day. If an additional bundle is purchased, we’ll start to deduct future messages from this bundle on the next calendar day.
Are we able to rollover the credit bundles?
Pre-purchased credit bundles do not roll over, unless they are part of a renewal contract.
