The Campaign Response Export lets you download a complete, Member-level record of how your audience responded to a Campaign, including each Member's response and demographic details. Use it to dig deeper into your campaign results outside of Community with your own tools and reporting.
The export is available from the Campaign Details page for any Campaign that has received responses.
NOTE: Feature availability may vary by service plan, and only seats with the Data Export permission can access it. If you need help turning this on, please contact yourfriends@community.com.
Where can I find the Campaign Response Export?
- Head to the Campaigns section in your Dashboard.
- Open the Campaign you'd like to export responses for.
- On the Campaign Details page, click Export.
Your responses will download to your computer as a CSV file.
When will my export be ready?
After a Campaign is sent, responses, clusters, and link clicks are processed over a 72-hour window. The export is generated once that window closes and all responses have finished processing.
While processing is still underway, the Export button is disabled. If you hover over it, you'll see the following message:
Campaign Response Export will be available once all campaign data has finished processing. Please check back 72 hours after the campaign was sent.
Once processing is complete, the button becomes active and your export is ready to download.
How do I download my responses?
Click Export on the Campaign Details page. You'll see a loading indicator while your file is prepared, followed by a download confirmation. The CSV will save to your computer's default download location.
What's included in the export?
The export is a CSV file where each row represents a single Member's response.
There is one exception: for Campaign Surveys, if a Member's response is grouped into more than one survey response, that Member will appear in more than one row. Those rows are identical except for the Response Cluster they're grouped into.
Each export includes the following columns:
| Field | Description |
| Campaign ID | The unique identifier for the Campaign. |
| Campaign Sent At | The date and time the Campaign was sent, in UTC. |
| Campaign Link URL | The link included in the Campaign, if any. If a Campaign contains more than one link, the Member's response appears in a separate row for each URL. |
| Member ID | The Member's internal Community identifier. |
| Phone Number | The phone number of the Member who responded. |
| The email of the Member who responded, if available. | |
| First Name | The Member's first name, if available. |
| Last Name | The Member's last name, if available. |
| Response | The exact text the Member responded with. |
| Response Cluster | The response grouping the Member's reply was bucketed into. For a Survey, this reflects the survey choice their response was grouped under. |
| Age | The age of the Member who responded. |
| Gender | The gender of the Member who responded. |
| Location | The location of the Member who responded. |
| Response Time | The time the Member responded. |
| Clicked | If the member clicked the link set this to true, else false |
| Subcommunities | A comma delimited list of the member's subcommunities |
Who can export campaign responses?
The Export button is only available to seats that have the Data Export permission. If you don't see the button on the Campaign Details page, reach out to an Admin on your account to review your seat permissions.
